We went to the meeting and listened to the council members tell us that they didn't want to raise taxes, 3 out of the 6 sounded like they were going to vote No and then when it came time to vote it was a unanimous decision!
I like what you have written and I too was not happy with the report written in the paper not enough was printed about the people who could not afford any more tax increases or they would lose their homes, or alternative suggestions like a smaller response vehicle instead of the large fire truck running around town incase there was a fire and they could respond. We have seen the truck parked at Home Depot??
We want the government at all levels to stop the "we know what is good for all" nonsense and start acting like tax payers again, once they get in behind that big desk what happens? I think they should remove the desk and the high back leather chairs and sit on the chairs like the rest of us maybe this would bring them back to earth.
