Davis Shores gets upgraded water mains

St. Augustine Public Information Coordinator Cathy DuPont informed local Historic City News reporters today that beginning Monday, and continuing for about two months, two Davis Shores neighborhoods will undergo water main construction.

G&H Underground Construction will be installing a new 6-inch water main on North Matanzas Boulevard from Ribault Street to Andreas Street and another on Andreas Street from Arredondo Avenue to Comares Avenue.

These two projects, once completed, will replace the old 2-inch line with a new 6-inch water main.

Improvements will provide for better water quality and fire hydrant flow capacity.

There will be a plan to direct traffic flow during construction. The city public affairs office is saying that minimal street closures are anticipated in both areas.
