Local students win Advertising Federation awards
Chris Smith, chair of the art department at Flagler College, congratulated graphic design students who won several awards at the 2010 American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards on Friday, February 19th at the Florida Theater in Jacksonville.
Two project contracts awarded by Friends of A1A
Historic City News learned that the Friends of A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Highway have awarded two contracts that will add a cell phone tour and interpretative signage to encourage traveler exploration of the 72-mile corridor through St. Johns and Flagler counties.
Henley reads for Writers-In-Residence program
Flagler College reported to the local St. Augustine news desk that author Patricia Henley will read from her work on Monday, March 15th at 7:00 p.m. in the Flagler Room at Flagler College.
Maintenance operation closes pet center two days
Public Information Technician Rob Weber told local news reporters that the St. Johns County Pet Center will be closed on March 20th to allow for scheduled maintenance.

Cathy DuPont let local St. Augustine news reporters know that the annual La Guardia de Noche, or Spanish Nightwatch, will necessitate intermittent disruptions of traffic in parts of downtown St. Augustine on Saturday, March 13th.
Man and woman team rob local Adam and Eve
Kevin Kelshaw reported to St. Johns County local news reporters that two suspects are being sought today in connection with a robbery that occurred last night at Adam & Eve on SR 16 west of Interstate 95.
Shoar to Record: No more interviews on Manuel
Obviously dissatisfied with the way the press in general, and The St. Augustine Record in particular, have reported the incident, St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar told the audience that he had informed Record Editor Peter Ellis that “there will be no more interviews” regarding Tom Manuel.
